You might think that the life of Steve Jobs and his family will always be surrounded by technology everyday for Steve Jobs is the founder of Apple Inc. It's not surprising if we think he and his family will depend on technology. But in fact, Steve Jobs restricts the use of technology on his children. They don't even have a single iPad.
Reason why Steve Jobs keeps his children off of gadget
Steve Jobs doesn't allow his son on spending too much time using gadgets even when iPad had great success in 2010. Steve Jobs himself admitted that he and his family didn't use the iPad and limit the use of technology for children at home.
Every afternoon, Steve Jobs and his family would have dinner together at a long table in dinning room, talking about books, history, and many other things. But no one is using an iPad or laptop as media. Steve Jobs' children are not addicted to these stuff because they know that spending too much time with gadget is not good for children's development.

Chris Anderson does the same thing
Not only Steve Jobs that restricts the use of technology on children. Many technology experts do the same thing, one of them is Chris Anderson who is the inventor of 3D Robotics drones. Anderson clearly forbids his five children being too long in front of the computer because of its potential dangers.
"That's because we've already seen the first technological hazards. I've seen it by myself, I don't want it to happen to my son, " said Chris Anderson.

Most technology experts also restrict their children in using gadgets
Not only Chris Anderson and Steve Jobs, but some parents who worked in
high-tech companies such as Apple, eBay, Google, Hewlett-Packard and
Yahoo actually limit their children on technology. They even take a step
further to educate their children in schools that also limit the use of
electronic equipment such as Waldorf Elementary School in Los Altos,
California. In these school, students are encouraged to develop their
talents without interference from electronic gadgets such as smartphone,
iPad, and even television.
Parents need to let children grow up to interact, develop their creativity and train their spontaneity which are the characteristics of the lives of healthy children. Generally, children should do things like playing with friends, eat together with family, and solve problems together.
Indeed, it's terrible to let children become alienated because they are tied to gadgets which ultimately makes them never to enter the real world. Letting children spending time playing a smartphone or gadget at that age too early can limit their ability to develop imagination, creativity, and interactivity with others.

It seemed not a strange thing if nowadays most parents want their children to be able to follow all the developments in technology as early as possible. So don't be surprised if little children alone holding iPad, laptops and similar hoping they won't be old-fashioned in technology. But we need to ask ourselves, what are the consequences of this lifestyle?
Not only for children, but everyone also needs to develop themselves and shouldn't dependent to some sort of smartphone devices, iPad, and similar. We need to walk outside and interact directly with other people. Also, encourage your children to play together outside and enjoy in healthy lives, physically and mentally, without being dependent to gadgets.
